Legal
Terms of use
Last updated 14 September 2026
These terms are for the Stackkit product at stackkit.co.uk. They are written in plain English on purpose. If something here does not match what we say on the marketing site, this page wins.
Who we are
Stackkit is a website builder for trades and local service businesses, run from the UK. Questions go to hello@stackkit.co.uk.
The service
You can build a site on a free .stackkitsite.co.uk address. Paid plans add things like connecting your own domain. Features labelled as coming, waitlist, or not live yet are not part of what you are buying today.
We do not promise Google rankings, a set number of enquiries, or that the product will stay free forever in its current form. We will not charge you for a feature we have not shipped.
Your account and your site
You must be able to enter a contract in the UK. Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for the words, photos and claims on your site, including trade memberships and prices.
You own the content you put in. We need a licence to host it, show it, back it up and make the product work. If you cancel a paid plan you drop back to the free address rather than disappearing overnight, unless we have to take a site down for legal or abuse reasons.
Acceptable use
Do not use Stackkit for anything illegal, to impersonate someone else, to send spam, or to attack the service. We can suspend or delete an account that breaks this.
Liability
The free plan is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost work, lost enquiries or downtime beyond what UK law says we cannot exclude. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and law
We can change the product and these terms. If a change is material we will say so on the site or by email. English law applies, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
